Spotlighting Suppliers in film and TV at Pinewood Studios
The Sustainability Showcase is a practical event for experienced film and TV crews, taking place on:
Thursday 9 July 2026
X Stage, Pinewood Studios
The day is built around real on-set needs — not theory.
You will meet suppliers, see kit in person, ask direct questions and understand what can work on your next production.
“Building on the success of our Sustainability Behind the Lens events with the Production Guild, this showcase is the natural next step. The feedback was clear: crews want practical solutions, direct access to suppliers and answers they can use on real productions. We’re bringing that together in one place. Focused, useful and built around the realities of set.”
Amelia Price, Founder, Sustainable Film
Invitation to crew
Sustainability has moved from “nice to have” to part of everyday production planning.
Crews are being asked to reduce fuel use, manage waste, support BAFTA albert requirements and find cleaner options — often without enough time, budget or clear information.
This event gives crews direct access to the people, products and answers that can help.
Come away with practical information you can use immediately.
What you can expect
- Meet suppliers face to face
- Ask questions about cost, logistics and availability
- See sustainable kit and technology up close
- Compare options for power, transport, lighting and production
- Hear what is working on sets and location now
- Understand what is ready to use — and what still needs planning
The aim is simple, we want to help crews make better decisions faster.
Suppliers, solutions and masterclasses
You will have access to suppliers working across Energy, Camera, Lighting and Production. These are not companies included simply because they have a sustainability policy. They are offering new solutions for crews and productions — innovative, efficient and useful options that can reduce environmental impact in practical ways.
You can ask the questions that matter on production:
- Will it work for my location?
- What does it cost?
- How much space does it need?
- What crew support is required?
- Can it replace what we already use?
The masterclasses will cover:
- Hydrogen 101 — Presented by GeoPura
What hydrogen power can run, how it compares to diesel generators, and what productions need to plan for. - How to Implement a Fully Electric Fleet in the Entertainment Industry
A practical look at electric unit cars, tech trucks and transport planning. - Can Batteries Really Power Our Set Lighting?
What battery systems can support now, where hybrid setups help, and what is still on the horizon.
What you will come away with
Crews will leave with clear, useful knowledge — not more noise.
You will come away with:
- Supplier contacts you can use
- Better questions to ask in prep
- A clearer view of sustainable kit and services
- Practical options for reducing fuel, waste and emissions
- A stronger understanding of what works for studios, locations and departments
- Ideas that can support BAFTA albert reporting and production planning
Come to see it, question it and work out what fits your next production.
Priority will be given to experienced crew working in production, lighting and camera. Other departments are welcome if space is availale. This event is designed for working professionals — it is not a showcase for new entrants or students.
